The understanding of the benefit of Process
Management is not yet fully arrived in many heads of german companies. This statement is underlined
by an survey conducted in order of the BPM-Allianz e.V in the summer of 2007. A
major reason can be seen in the extreme communication of IT related parties (e.g. vendors or
CIO's). Another failure is the insufficient internal communication within companies of
successful BPM projects or initiatives. Until recently a platform for the networking and
exchange of experiences had been missing.
Therefore the Kompetenzzentrum für
Prozessmanagement has founded and set up the BPM-Club end of 2004.
The BPM-Club is a community fo Business Process Manager.
With regular regional meetings of working groups we facilitate communication of
process related members in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
More than 30 regional meeting have been held
since April 2005. More than 900 BPM interested people have met and chated around
topics of Business Process Management.
Initiated by community members two new working groups have been set up: BPM and HR
(Human Ressource) as well as BPM Excellence. In October 2006 the CPO-Circle (Chief
Process Officer/Head of Process management) has been founded in Freiburg. In the working
group BPM HR the fundament for the BPM Akademie has been build.
